Due to concern for our members and guests and the community health threat posed by the COVID-19 virus there was Board consensus to cancel all March meetings. We will move our Quilt-A-Thon for Children to April, although there is no assurance of an April meeting at this time.

Meeting Activities

2019 Honeybee Block of the Month

(2020 TBD)

This year we are trying something different than our usual Honeybee activity. We are going to present a block pattern for you to make and keep over the next year. There will be nine blocks presented by members of our guild. The goal is have you complete your top or quilt by November 2019 at our birthday party. We are looking for members to submit a block (a picture will do) with directions on how to make the block. The following are the guidelines that you need to follow when submitting your block idea.

1. The block needs to be 12 ½ inches unfinished.

2. The block can be made by a confident beginner or intermediate quilter.

3. The directions need to be clear and complete.

4. You need to pick a first and second choice on which month you will present your block if chosen.

Months available: November, January, February, April, May, June, July, August, September

5. Submit your block and directions by the October meeting. We are planning on starting at the November meeting. You can submit your block before the meeting by emailing me before the meeting.

If you have any questions, please contact Sharon M (in handbook).

2019 Holiday Party

The 2019 Busy Bee Holiday Party was held at lunchtime on a Saturday this year. Games were played and everyone went home with a prize. The food was delicious. A good turnout and a fun time. Thank you to Gabe for organizing and being a fabulous Hostess!

Workshops are often scheduled for the Saturday after the meeting (third Saturday in most cases, please verify date listed in meeting info).

Fees vary depending on the teacher and length of the class. You will receive a supply list when you have registered and paid for the class.
